A.M Tree Surgeons operate at the forefront of our industry. Our single biggest investment which sets us apart is our Volvo truck with Fassi crane with remote control and saw-cutting grab. This has not come without a cost, however, as well as a significant amount of hurdles to jump through to ensure the unit reaches all health and safety requirements.
Our unique tree removal lorry is the result of heavy research and the expertise of Mac’s Trucks in Huddersfield, an established company renowned for its expertise in bespoke truck building.
The result is a fully legal truck specifically designed for cutting trees. Most importantly, no shortcuts have been taken to alter existing components for a task they weren’t designed to carry out.
Our operators are fully trained, experienced, and insured in its use, with ongoing training provided as required.
Safety features include:
- Full recording camera system to protect drivers in transit
- Crane mounted camera so the operators can see exactly what they are cutting from the ground
- Checked daily for faults with everything logged
- Multiple overload sensors on every part of the crane and stabilisation system
